Sick of wearing glasses?
The Eye House has a contact lens for every eye.
Which type of contact lens is for you?

Can’t find your type? Well ask the Eye House to find it for you.

Don’t pay too much for contacts
Let the Eye House quote your brand name soft and gas permeable contact lens

Contact lenses are broadly contained within 2 groups comprising soft flexible contacts and the other of more rigid gas permeable lenses.

These are the most popular mode of lens as they comprise different amounts of water which allow more oxygen to enter the eye i.e. breathe more.
Advantages.
- Easy to initially wear and get used to
- Comfortable over longer periods
- Flexible wearing times
- Sometimes no need for any cleaning routines
- Wearer can alter eye colour
Most people opt for disposable, extended wear, bifocal, tinted or the older conventional lenses.

These lenses are very inflexible, but sometimes are necessary because of the eye’s particular condition.
Main points
- Last longer (need less replacement)
- More stable for astigmatism
- Take longer to adapt to
- Can cost less
- More dependent upon solutions

These contacts are by far the most popular contact lens for wearers. They offer a wide range of fit with flexibility, comfort and less dependence on cleaning solutions.
This type of lens, by frequently replacing the lens is designed to overcome the problems associated with long time exposure to harsh cleaning products.
Hey, we can all do with less chemicals in our lives!!
Your eye care needs will dictate which lens suits your eye the best.
The optometrist will discuss these needs with you, then fit you with either a daily, 2 weekly or monthly disposable contact lens.

The very latest in design means this material will breathe on the eye, even when you are asleep.
No more coming home late and fumbling around in the dark trying to get your lenses in a case!
Up to 30 days continuous wear is possible with these lenses.
HOT NEWS!!!
Now even some astigmatism patients can be fitted with these lenses.

Although not suitable for large numbers of the population, they are now proving very popular with the over 40’s who want a break from their glasses.
Short range, mid range and distance all with one soft contact lens.

Your smart new contacts can even alter the way your eyes look to others, by changing your eye colour.
This is achieved by any of 3 means:
- Handling tints
These are simply a light tint to enable the wearer to see them when they drop the lens. This is purely for handling and does not alter the eye colour.
- Enhancing tints
Tints are transparent, but add colour to the underlying iris to make the eye more blue, brown, green or whatever.
- Cosmetic tints
Now these tints enable the wearer to have virtually any colour eye they desire.
The colour of the underlying iris is completely blocked out, with the contact superimposing the desired colour on top.
Various shapes, colours and logos can all be used (these are like the ones used in the movies for dramatic effect).
